What it does
Qeet News assembles coverage in which claims are traceable to sources and a story presents more than one account of events. Drafting is assisted; publishing is not. An editor is responsible for what appears.
Why it matters
The cost of producing plausible text has collapsed, and the cost of verifying it has not. That asymmetry is the defining problem for news right now.
The answer is not to avoid automation, which is not going to happen, but to make provenance a structural property of the product rather than a promise in a policy page — and to keep a person accountable for the decision to publish.
Where it fits
Qeet News is the outlier in the portfolio. It serves readers rather than organisations, and it is the one product built for a single publisher rather than for many customers.
